Today it has been officially confirmed by the Representatives of Microsoft that the company shall launch Windows Mobile 7, on Monday 11 October in New York. October 11 is going to be a milestone for Microsoft. The American publisher has indeed confirmed the launch of its latest mobile operating system, Windows 7 Phone in collaboration with HTC, AT & T and T-Mobile. From the invitations to the press, the group will unveil its Operating System to the public on Monday at three in the afternoon, as per New York local time.
According to the first available information and a few scattered reviews, it seems that Windows Mobile 7 will in fact be an adequate competitor for Android and IOS.
The AT & T will be using the huge event to introduce three new phones, Samsung Optimus 7, LG and the Mondrian HTC. All these terminals comply with the specifications imposed by Microsoft and will have at minimum a processor from 1 to 1.3 GHz, a screen from 3.5 to 4 inches, a 5 MP camera as well as a storage space of 8 GB.
To some, Windows Mobile 7, however, appears to be mainly a multimedia handset, which has been especially designed for fun, but its not so as the Windows Mobile will also be oriented towards the corporate sector as a “work” mobile operating system. Business class can expect other versions of Windows Mobile to be more advanced as Microsoft plans as much as possible to compete with other corporate operating systems in this field, such as the well-established BlackBerry OS by Canadian manufacturer RIM (Research In Motion).
The worldwide launch date is not confirmed yet, but Europe, France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain will be the first countries to exhibit mobile with the new OS.
